Use level to check
  • Ordinary levelThis is one of the most commonly used tools. Place the spirit level on the track. If the bubble of the spirit level is in the middle position, it means that the track is horizontal at this position. For shorter tracks, you can directly place the spirit level along the track to observe the bubble position. If it is a long track, it needs to be checked in sections, usually every 1 - 2 meters. For example, when installing a 10-meter-long ground track, place a level at 0 meters, 2 meters, 4 meters, 6 meters, 8 meters, and 10 meters for inspection.
  • laser level: This tool is more accurate and efficient. When the laser level is turned on, it emits horizontal light. The track is compared to the laser light, and if the track coincides exactly with the light, the track is horizontal. The laser level can be used to check the levelness and straightness of the track at the same time, especially suitable for long-distance and high-precision track installation. For example, when the movable partition track is installed in the large banquet hall, the laser level meter can quickly determine whether the track is on the same horizontal plane, and can easily adjust the track position.
Check by leveling
  • Leveling is a more accurate method that requires the use of a level gauge and a level ruler. First, a leveling point with known elevation is set near the track, and then the level is placed in a suitable position so that it can observe the track and the leveling point. Erect the leveling ruler on the track and the leveling point respectively, and read the reading on the leveling ruler through the level gauge. Calculate the height difference between the track and the leveling point according to the height difference calculation formula (height difference = rear view reading-front view reading), so as to judge the level of the track. This method has high precision and is suitable for occasions where the level of the track is extremely high, such as the movable partition track in the laboratory or high-precision production workshop.
Using Liquid Plane Check
  • A simple tool can be made to check track levelness. Find a long transparent plastic hose (the length should be greater than the length of the track), fill the hose with water, and seal both ends. Place one end of the hose at the starting position of the track so that the water surface is in contact with the bottom of the track, and then observe the relative position of the water surface and the bottom of the track at other positions of the track. If the water surface is always in contact with the bottom of the track, the track is horizontal; if the water surface is above or below the bottom of the track, the track is inclined. This method is simple and easy, but the accuracy is relatively low, and it is suitable for occasions where the accuracy requirement is not particularly high.
Observe the object rolling condition inspection
  • Choose a small, round, uniform object, such as a ball or small steel ball. The small object is placed on the track. If the small object can roll slowly on the track at a constant speed without shifting to one side, the track is relatively horizontal to a certain extent. However, this method is only a preliminary inspection method with limited accuracy, because the rolling of objects may also be affected by factors such as friction on the surface of the track.
