Here are some tips to improve the quality of movable partition installation:

1. track installation aspects

  1. Track flatness

    • Before installing the track, use a spirit level to carefully calibrate the level of the track installation position. You can first mark the horizontal reference line on the ground or ceiling to ensure that the track is installed along the reference line, which can effectively avoid the situation that the movable partition is stuck or sliding on its own during the movement.
    • For longer tracks, the levelness should be checked regularly during installation, because even small errors can accumulate to cause track unevenness. For example, when installing a track with a meeting room length of 10 meters, the levelness should be checked every 2 - 3 meters.
  2. Track fixing firmness

    • Select suitable fixings to mount the rail. For the ground track, if it is a ceramic tile floor, use high-quality ceramic tile special expansion screws; if it is a concrete floor, you can use chemical anchor bolts. These fixings can provide stronger grip and ensure that the track is firmly fixed on the ground.
    • When fixing the track, the spacing of the screws should be reasonable. Generally speaking, install a screw every 30-50cm, and make sure that the screw is tightened to make the track fit closely with the ground or ceiling.
  3. Track Cleaning and Lubrication

    • After installing the track, thoroughly clean the inside of the track before installing the movable partition. Because if there are debris in the track, such as dust, small particles, etc., will affect the smooth operation of the pulley. You can use a small vacuum cleaner or a clean brush to clean the track.
    • After cleaning, apply a proper amount of lubricant, such as professional track grease or silicone oil, to the inside of the track. This can reduce the friction between the pulley and the track, so that the movable partition moves more smoothly.

Installation of 2. partition body

  1. Pre-assembly inspection

    • Before installing the movable partition to the track, it is pre-assembled on the ground. This can check whether the various parts of the partition can be properly spliced, such as checking whether the connection between the panels is tight, whether the connectors are complete, etc.
    • If it is found that the parts are damaged or the connection is not tight, the parts can be replaced in time or the connection method can be adjusted to avoid the problem after being installed on the track and increase the difficulty of maintenance.
  2. Weight Balance

    • For large movable partitions or partitions composed of multiple panels, pay attention to the weight balance. During the installation process, ensure that the center of gravity of the partition is evenly distributed to avoid heavy and light on one side.
    • For example, when installing a movable partition composed of 6 panels, the partition can be divided into two groups, each group of 3 blocks, which are respectively installed on the track, and the positions of the two groups are adjusted during the installation process to make them The weight distribution on the track is relatively uniform.
  3. Verticality adjustment

    • When installing a movable partition, use a plumb line or a laser verticality meter to check the verticality of the partition. If the partition is not vertical, it will not only affect the appearance, but also cause the friction between the partition and the track to increase, affecting the mobile performance.
    • Once the verticality deviation is found, correct the verticality by fine-tuning the adjusting foot at the bottom of the partition or adjusting the position of the connecting part to ensure that the partition is installed vertically.

3. sealing and sound insulation

  1. SELECTION AND INSTALLATION OF SEALING MATERIALS

    • Choose high-quality sealing materials, such as rubber sealing strips. This sealing strip has good elasticity and sealing performance. When installing the sealing strip, ensure that the sealing strip is completely attached to the contact edge between the partition and the ground, wall and ceiling.
    • For places with corners, use special corner seals or cut the sealing strips into suitable shapes for fitting to avoid gaps.
  2. The addition of sound insulation cotton

    • If you have higher requirements for the sound insulation performance of the movable partition, you can add sound insulation cotton inside the partition. When installing the sound insulation cotton, make sure that the sound insulation cotton is evenly distributed inside the partition and fills all the gaps.
    • Be careful not to let the sound insulation cotton affect the moving parts of the partition, such as pulleys and tracks, so as not to reduce the mobile performance of the movable partition.
